Group Head – Clinical & Compliance

We are seeking for an experienced individual to take up the Group Head – Clinical & Compliance position. The position will be based in our Head office located at 1st Floor, Leegate House, Burnt Ash Road, London, SE12 8RG.

The incumbent will undertake a full range of quality and governance audit functions to ensure services are always prepared and inspection ready. The position will work alongside other members of the Executive Management team to determine an overall direction for the company, ensuring that Eleanor Care is recognised as a leading provider of high-quality and safe service provision for its clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Eleanor Care Group’s compliance framework relating to the relevant regulatory authorities (CQC and other authorities) and ensure that appropriate processes and monitoring programmes are in place to evidence registration, compliance, and the submission of periodic returns as required.
  • Make site visits to all portfolio services to audit and assess compliance against appropriate regulatory standards and requirements to ensure clients receive safe, effective, responsive care and services are well-led.
  • Maintain an audit trail of key records and information that is documented and an evidence overview of the service.
  • Monitor operational activity, to ensure compliance with the standards required by current legislation, regulation, guidance, and practice standards.
  • Monitor new and emerging guidance and ensure these are reflected in the ongoing development of the Eleanor Care Group.
  • Delivery of training related to compliance.
  • Ensure that the quality compliance of work across all services is at an outstanding level.
  • Analyse data, reporting patterns and trends, and provide written reports to the Senior Management Team
  • Monitor outcomes against inspection criteria and ensure information is fed back to the group to support effective improvement.
  • Assist in the development of any individual inspection plan which details activities, timelines, and priorities.
  • Update company systems to ensure records are maintained and an audit trail is recorded.
  • Co-ordinate the monitoring and follow-up of recommendations from audits and report on progress to the Senior Management Team.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data security is maintained at all times following guidelines and the Data Protection Act

Experience / Skills

  • Educational background in nursing
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance, governance, and risk management
  • Experience of working in a Health and/or Social Care background
  • Able to travel regularly to our care homes and branches
  • Knowledge of the governance agenda and regulator's requirements
  • Highly developed analytical and report writing skills
  • Understand the implementation of government policies and procedures in line with current good practices, and identify governance issues arising from audits
  • Be able to process and analyse data from audits and report on themes and trends to the Senior Management Team
  • Ability to create action plans from audits, giving feedback to staff at all levels to ensure the quality and safety of care delivered
  • Experience in auditing systems and producing effective action plans
  • An understanding of the quality agenda in healthcare and implementation approaches
  • Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2012 and associated Regulations
  • Knowledge of enforcement processes and legislation
  • Have a clear understanding of the services Quality Framework used throughout inspections

Full-time

Salary:

£ 55,000 per annum

Schedule:

40 hours a week, should be able to travel extensively
